About SnapQuest

In SnapQuest, you play as a photographer. Explore the festival, snap photos to complete quests and earn as much score as you can get! Some people will even pose, so capture your best shots and fill your album!

Controls (keyboard - gamepad)

• Move: W A S D - Left Stick
• Look: Mouse - Right Stick
• Pause: Escape - Start
• Take a photo: Left Click - Button West
• Open album: F - Button East
• Open quests: G - Button North

Tools used

• Prefabs: used for NPCs (male and female), stalls, fountains, the stage... to populate the festival scene and create photo targets.
• New input system: used handle player movement, looking around, taking photos, and opening the album or quest panel in a clean way.
• Unity UI (Canvas) + TextMeshPro: used for the HUD (score, photos taken, active quests), feedback messages when taking photos, and menus (start, pause, album, quests, end screen) to ensure clear and high-quality text.
• NavMesh + Pathfinding: ensures NPCs move realistically around the festival, including dancing near the stage or walking around the festival.
• Coroutines: used for the photo flash effect, feedback display when taking photos, and timing visual effects like particles when quests are completed or scoring updates.
• Animation (Animator + Controller): NPCs have walking, dancing, and idle animations, while the player has smooth movement.
• Audio system (AudioSource + clips): adds sounds for camera shutter, background crowd chatter, or even NPCs reactions.
• Particles / Visual feedback: adds juiciness when taking photos, completing quests, or earning score.
